Seymour-Made Knives

My Shop

Making grinding dust and forging blades since 1986

I have been a knife nut and knifemaker since my earliest childhood memories. I fell in love with knives with the first pocket knife I found outside playing in some construction materials when I was in the 1st grade. I promptly cut myself with it as well. Something about that pocket knife I found started a life long obsession, from collecting, to making, and everything else in between.

One fateful afternoon in my father's gunsmith shop, he handed me a piece of steel and told me to make a knife out it. I really didn't know what I was doing, but it just felt right. After that I spent the rest of my life devouring any and all information I could on the craft of making knives, and learning the history of various knives.

My Story so far

After a short Navy enlistment I decided to start forging knives and went to the only school at the time for bladesmithing in Old Washington, AR. I took every class they had, and haven't looked back. I'm still learning, making, studying the history of blades.

Since then I have built several shops. Was a contestant on the show Forged in Fire. Been on several podcasts as well as hosting one with my friends on the Da Knife Guyz. I've made, and designed knives for professionals. So please look through my site and welcome to my life long addiction to knives.
